The mission starts now.

As I was sitting down this afternoon doing some pre-reading for my trip to Uganda I thought to myself that my experience is already starting. In 37 days I will be on a plane that is headed to Africa. It all starts when I start to trust God with all my finances. It starts when I have to be patient with all my forms and visas I wait for. As I start to do devotions more based on getting me prepared for my trip I start to see God in a new way. While reading some of the books based on missions, I have discovered that I won't be able to make everything better down there. I need to take a step back and see that just being there for someone during hard times in their life and just showing them Jesus' love will be all that I can offer. As I continue to prepare for my trip I pray that God will continue to strengthen me and give me eyes to see and ears to hear. I know God will continue to knit things together for this trip and that everything will fall into place!

My mission doesn't start when I arrive in Uganda; it starts now.
